Clicking on Edit tab brings up code

Something's amiss. I click on a document and from the properties tab I click on the edit tab. The edit content appears briefly and a page with code appears. Sometimes it just reverts to the properties tab page content.

Any hints would sure be appreciated.

Sounds strage, some addditional Information may help.
Is it the actual Version 6.0.6 ?!
Did this happen after an Update?
What kind of code appears?
